Dr David Lloyd established Southern Star Research in 2010 and is the Managing Director. He has over 25 years of research experience in the Australian life sciences sector, in positions that have spanned academia, pharmaceutical companies and contract research organisations. In addition to having broad therapeutic area expertise across all phases of clinical trials in the development of both therapeutic compounds and medical devices, he also has strong general management, project management and operational management experience. David has held several prominent industry positions and is the current Co-Chair of the Research & Development Taskforce and a former member of the Federal Government Clinical Trials Action Group (CTAG) Committee. He has provided expert clinical and commercialisation advice to numerous biopharmaceutical companies and is an advisor to the various Government bodies on matters pertaining to medical research.
