Creative Space: Collaborative Innovation and Inspiration and Planning a Mission to Mars

In his presentation to the Healthcare Congress, Martin will have a focus on how human health and performance research and development in space can inspire and equip us to best optimise human health and performance research and development on Earth. He will describe how his participation in NASA Human Research Program meetings has helped inspire the Waitemata “Sleep Space” , sleep well in hospital programme and the Waitemata Centre for Health IT and Creative Design. He will highlight how the space programme can provide insights into the essential evolutionary nature of what it is to be human, the increasing fusion of technology into that evolutionary process, and the critical responsibilities of the health technology industry to deliver secure, honest, valuable, optimised products to a health sector that is increasingly critically dependent on that technology.
