Title: Navigating the NIH Resubmission Process: Strategies for Success

Dr. Rincon received his Ph.D. in Immunology from the University Autonoma of Madrid, Madrid (Spain), performed a postdoctoral training at Yale University School of Medicine, Connecticut, USA, and joined the University of Vermont in 1996 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Immunobiology Division, College of Medicine. She established the first Transgenic/Knockout Mouse Facility in the state of Vermont. In 2002, she became an Associate Professor with tenure, and in 2009 she was promoted to full Professor. Dr. Rincon’s research has been well funded by a number awards from NIH and other foundations. She is a leader in the areas of: a) p38 MAP kinase, b) IL-6 as a key regulator of asthma/allergy, viral infection, rheumatoid arthritis, and c) MCJ in mitochondria metabolism. Dr. Rincon has published more 140 papers, and she is the primary inventor in 6 patents, two of them issued. She is Editor the International Journal of Biological Science (IJBS). Dr. Rincon has participated in numerous NIH review panels and is currently a member of the CMI-A NIH study section. Together with Eric Gagnon she has established SPARK-VT at the University of Vermont.
