Cheryl Ackerman, PhD.
Title: Evaluation Best Practices in IDeA Programs

Cheryl Ackerman has a PhD from Texas A&M University in Educational Psychology and is the Director of Evaluation for the NIH funded INBRE and NSF funded EPSCoR grants in Delaware. Dr. Ackerman has over 20 years of evaluation experience working with faculty, public schools, and non-profit organizations to help them improve their programs and determine the degree to which they are meeting their program goals. Cheryl oversees and implements evaluation design, logic model development, survey and other instrument development, data analyses, and reporting to multiple stakeholder groups. She is particularly skilled at asking probing and clarifying questions during grant writing, which facilitates better program articulation, alignment, and evaluation. Dr. Ackerman is the immediate Past-President of the Eastern Evaluation Research Society and has been a board member since 2009.
