Katia Sol-Church is a Senior Research Scientist in the Biomedical Research Department at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington DE. Katia received her PhD in Molecular Genetics from McGill University in Montreal Canada, and her Maitrise es Science from the University Paul Sabatier in Toulouse France. Her current research is focused on the study of rare pediatric genetic disorders and on exploring new ways to control growth of Embryonal Rabdomyosarcoma in patients with Costello Syndrome. Dr. Sol-church is also the Director of the COBRE-funded Biomolecular Core Laboratory (BCL) that supports research and discovery by improving access to, and stimulating the use of, emerging technologies by researchers, clinicians and students. The BCL is integrated with other core labs in the Delaware Valley through the IDeA Network for Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) network, which enhances leveraging of regional resources. Katia is Director of the Delaware-INBRE Centralized Research Instrumentation Core and she is a founding member of the Network of IDeA-funded Core Laboratories (NICL).
