Measuring your Health, and Changing Clinical Outcomes

The data revolution is coming and our expectations to know more about ourselves has never been higher. However, getting this data, particularly realtime measurements, still brings many challenges and interpreting the data such that you are better off brings is another set of challenges. The MedTech CoRE has some platform capabilities relating to getting data from novel body mounted sensors into the cloud. This talk presents how we can improve stress urinary incontinence through the promotion of correct pelvic floor muscle contractions. The pressure profile along the vagina when performing a good pelvic floor muscle contraction is quite different from an abdominal push and from a cough. Pressure sensors, microprocessors, Bluetooth and Android devices all contribute to getting this personal data, interpreting this data and sharing this data. Who would you like to share your data with?
