Diagnostic Technologies and Expertise at Otago

Diagnostics are vital tools identify diseases, enable personalised treatments, avoid drug resistance and enhance clinicians information for decision making. Point of care devices (POC) are required to provide a quick turnaround result. POC devices must be tailored to clinical need in the disease area and development needs to be informed by clinicians as to what will be useful, add value, save time and money.
The University of Otago has a wide range of expertise and capability in multiple disease areas for both the identification of diagnostic biomarkers as well as the development and validation of diagnostic tools.
