Pain is a pervasive issue and as part of ACC’s commitment to improving customer experience and outcomes ACC is working in partnership with the sector to change the way it supports patients with pain.
The collaborative approach the service redesign has resulted in a new model for supporting patients with pain. This model acknowledges the critical role of Primary Care and a multidisciplinary team, early identification, education and services which are flexible and enable health professionals to address the individual needs of each client and their unique context.
This presentation will explore the development of a new model of pain management for New Zealand, share initial findings from the service demonstration and provide you with information on how you can get involved.
