Marcus E. Leaver became president of Sterling Publishing in January 2008. He is responsible for the management of the company, both creatively and operationally. Mr. Leaver joined Sterling in 2005 as chief operating officer, bringing focus to and strengthening many operational areas of the business, including operations, finance, book production and manufacturing.
 
Prior to Sterling, he served as chief executive officer of the Chrysalis Books Group, one of the leading illustrated non-fiction publishing companies in the United Kingdom, from 2002-2004, and corporate development director of Chrysalis Group plc, a London Stock Exchange-listed media company, from 1999-2002.
 
Mr. Leaver graduated from the University of East Anglia with a degree in art history and received his MBA from London Business School. He lives in upstate New York with his wife and four children.
