First World Summit on Competency-Based Education

We are pleased to announce that the First World Summit on Competency-Based Education is scheduled in Barcelona on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th August as a pre-conference activity to AMEE 2016.

One of the most important trends in the last decade has been the move to competency-based/outcome-based education.  The summit, organized by the International Competency Based Medical Education Collaborators (ICBMEC), provides a forum for experienced individuals or those new to the theme to share information and innovations and to explore further developments in the field.  The summit will include plenary sessions, short communications, poster presentations and ‘how-to’ workshops.  Further information and an invitation to submit short communications, posters and workshops is on the AMEE 2016 Conference website. Abstract submission is separate from the main AMEE Conference submissions and the deadline for submissions for the World Summit is 12 March. 

Registration includes:

Two-day Summit, including coffee, lunch and Saturday evening reception

The ability to submit an abstract for consideration for inclusion in the programme

Cost: First World Summit on Competency-Based Education only €460.00 prior to May 17th, €490.00 from May 18th (exclusive of Spanish VAT)
