Approximately 30 minutes from Milan

Bergamo is a beautiful medieval and Renaissance city. You will arrive in Bergamo Bassa, the lower part of the city and take the bright orange funicular up to Bergamo Alto, a stunning town that rises high into the sky.

Your guide will lead you through the medieval streets to the old square where you can visit the main sites of Bergamo including Colleoni Chapel and the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore. You can take the short, but steep, walk up to the Rocca for a panoramic view of the valleys below.

Your local guide will happily take you to taste some of the local wines and lunch will be taken in a typical Bergamo restaurant.
