Cultural Tour including Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supper This tour includes some of Milan’s must-see attractions including the following: Monumental Cemetery – opened in 1866, it is noted for its artistic and imposing tombs designed by great Italian sculptors such as Arnaldo Pomodoro and Medardo Rosso. You will be guided around the memorial chapel which includes the burial tombs of many illustrious families of world famous businesses and brands. Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio – one of the oldest churches in Milan. Construction was started in 379 by St Ambrose in an area where numerous martyrs of the Roman persecutions had been buried. It was extensively rebuilt in the Romanesque style and has become one of the most symbolic sites in the city. The Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie – the final stop of the tour is at the church that is home to Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last Supper (Cenacolo). This 15th century fresco captures the moment when Jesus announces that one of his 12 disciples will betray him. The painting has been extensively restored to reveal the original colours and details of this masterpiece and, due to its delicate nature, visitors are strictly limited to those who have pre-booked, and only groups of 25 are allowed to view the painting, at any one time, in a specially conditioned room, in 15 minute time slots.
