Conducting Medical Education Research Workshop

Workshop Description
The workshop aims to be instructive and fun. The session will be interactive with participants required to submit a brief synopsis of their research ideas to the workshop. Your synopsis should be no more than a single page of A4 and include your research goals (overarching aims, research questions, objectives, outcomes or hypotheses), your motivation for conducting the study, and brief notes about what methodological questions you are grappling with at the moment.
 
Please email your submissions by 14 June 2013 to nicola@asme.org.uk. Please note that your synopsis will be shared amongst the group and used to inform discussions in the workshop. 
 
Who is this workshop aimed at?
Those who are about to begin or wish to begin a research project and wish to 'do it right' and members of our Special Interest Groups; JASME and TASME.

By attending the workshop, participants will develop skills in:
  • Choosing a topic and focusing a researchable problem
  • Formulating clear research goals
  • Underpinning your research with theory
  • Choosing appropriate research methods to answer your research goals
