Denis Pilon
Ret. Fire Chief, City of Regina, Saskatchewan


 
 
 
Denis retired as fire chief from the Swift Current Fire Department in August 2018. He is a Saskatchewan boy, born and raised in Melville where he first became involved with the fire service as a volunteer fire fighter. He served as chief in Melville for 5 years before moving to Weyburn where he spent 15 years as fire chief followed by 8 years as fire chief in Swift Current.

He has a Certificate in Business Administration from SIAST, Certificates in Fire Service Leadership, Fire Service Administration, and Incident Command from Dalhousie University, Certificates in Emergency Management, Exercise Design and Fire Officer 4 certification from the Justice Institute of BC. He has attained Executive Chief Fire Officer (ECFO) designation from the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs. He has served on the SAFC, CAFC and the IAFC serving on boards and committees for all those associations.
