Stéphane Denis
   Battalion Chief, Gatineau Fire Department


 
 
 
 
 Stéphane Denis holds a diploma in fire prevention, one in firefighting, he holds the fire officer certifications 1 and 2. Stéphane is currently pursuing higher education at university in fire related subject and in management. He started his career as a volunteer firefighter before joining the Gatineau fire department 20 year ago in 1999. Having risen thought the ranks of lieutenant, and captain he was appointed battalion chief in March of 2016. He is in charge of four fire stations on the # 2 platoon. Stéphane served many leadership roles in the fire department, having been a union executive member for more than 5 years and on different committees. During the last year, Stéphane was acting division chief in charge of labor management.
