Randy Schroeder is the President of the Alberta Fire Chiefs Association, and Fire Chief for Lac Ste. Anne County and the Town of Mayerthorpe, a total of 6 stations - 100 firefighters, serving a population of 15,000 people, over 3000 sq.km just northwest of Edmonton, Alberta. Serving for 25 years, has a passionate desire for fire service education and growth, as a board member for AFCA since 2009 has worked on many initiatives for fire services across the Province and has been the Chair of the Alberta Core Competency Initiative since its inception in 2016.
