Maj David Jane joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1986 and has served across Canada and around the world as a Firefighter, Fire Service Instructor, Fire Chief, Fire Marshal and CBRN Specialist. He is currently serving in the Canadian Forces Fire Marshal's office in Ottawa responsible for fire protection of domestic and deployed military operations. One of his secondary responsibilities is wellness for the National Defence Fire Service which includes physical fitness, mental health and carcinogen exposure reduction.
