Overview: |
Theory
of measuring natural gas (rotary, turbine, diaphragm). |
Learning
Objectives: |
Upon
completion of this session, learners will be able to:
- Differentiate between positive and
inferential meters.
- Identify the following meters: Diaphragm,
Rotary, Turbine, and Orifice.
- Describe the operational theory of the
following meters: Diaphragm, Rotary, Turbine, and Orifice.
- State the typical application for each type
of meter.
- Identify common volume correcting
instruments.
a) Describe how they work. b) Describe the volume correcting process for
pressure, temperature or super-compressibility.
- Describe the typical failures for each type
of meter.
- Demonstrate routine maintenance for each type
of meter
