Lack of accommodation in the immediate vicinity, combined with the time and monetary expense it took to travel to Taupo has seen the ALGIM Executive and Staff seriously consider our options in terms of where ALGIM holds future Annual Conferences.\nIt is with these considerations in mind, that ALGIM is excited to announce a change of venue for the 2014 International ALGIM Conference in order to better accommodate our attendees needs. This decision has not been made lightly, with ALGIM having a long and valued relationship with the team at the Bayview Wairakei Resort.\nThe 34th International ALGIM Conference will be held from 24 - 26 November 2014 at the Langham Auckland.\nThis year’s conference\nwill combine ALGIM’s key areas and acquaint delegates with numerous exhibitor\nstands, best practice local government case studies, workshops, overseas\nexperiences, networking opportunities, international and national speakers, and\na prestigious national awards programme. \nThe event will also\nshowcase leading local government case studies - both nationally and\ninternationally. This year the programme\nwill focus on ‘Smart Local Governement'. \nThe Annual ALGIM\nConference has been heralded by attendees as the best event for interacting and\nobtaining knowledge.
