Cantrav Services Inc.
Tahira is a strong believer in lifelong learning, and holds Diplomas in Event and Convention Management and Adult Education and most recently completed a Bachelor of Hospitality Management (2010) and has taught Event Management at BCIT since 1999. This belief in sharing knowledge led to collaborating on Event Camp Vancouver (November 2011) a hybrid event that brought together meeting and event professionals in a learning environment designed to foster sharing of best practices while having fun. This endeavor was highly successful on multiple levels for both the live and remote audiences and used multiple channels including a hybrid environment, MediaSite, a mobile app, a social gaming layer, Twitter, and multiple face-to-face environments that contributed to networking and education being shared, reflected on and which could be later applied by the participants.
