The EHS Today team, partners and sponsors of
the Safety Leadership Conference would like to thank you for your understanding
about the need to postpone and reschedule the conference.
As you know, due to the impact of Hurricane
Irma, a state of emergency was declared for the Atlanta area during the
scheduled dates of our conference. Power outages impacted more than 1.2 million
residential and business customers in Georgia, 200,000 of them in the Atlanta
area. Nearly 1,000 flights were cancelled at the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson
International Airport on Monday, Sept. 11, due to high winds. We appreciate how
many of you reached out to us to let us know we made the right choice – the
safest choice – to postpone the Safety Leadership Conference. Based on
this situation and other events over the last month, we felt it was important
to include Emergency Preparedness as part of our content programming, so be on
the lookout for more details!
Our team has been working with the hotel to
secure new dates for the conference; we are pleased to announce our new dates
are November 28th-30th.Your current conference
registration fee will transfer over to the new date and you receive directions
on how to re-book your Hilton hotel rooms. The registration site will re-open soon to allow new registrants to register online.
Your participation in the Safety Leadership
Conference is vital to its success and we look forward to seeing you in Atlanta
at the rescheduled Safety Leadership Conference!
