Elevate: Charlotte - Professional & Personal Life: Boundaries Hanging in the Balance
January 23, 2020 | 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
227 W Trade St. Suite 150
Charlotte, NC 28202
Join us for this exclusive evening of networking, discussion, and cocktails in Charlotte.
Main Topic: The Myth of Work-Life Balance & the Choices We Can Make Instead
Target Audience: Professionals and leaders of people seeking to gain more control over intrusions that cause an “always on” expectation.
Description: For the foreseeable future, clean and universal boundaries between our professional and private time suggested by “work-life balance” ideals are unlikely, mainly because of our reliance on electronic forms of communication. Still, there is more we can do as leaders and individual contributors to encourage and even protect ourselves from the seemingly endless interruptions that cause more incremental stress than most people realize.
Speaker
Primary Learning Objectives:
* Group/team instruments and resources to help manage volume, frequency and efficiency of electronic communication
* Individual methods of organizing and structuring mobile, laptop/desktop, and app settings to minimize interruption and intrusion
* Tools you can use to track and reallocate your time spent on subsets of electronic tasks
A short networking reception will take place at 6:30 pm before the start of the program. All attendees are encouraged to bring their business cards.
