The Garwood Center for Corporate Innovation, University of California, Berkeley is pleased to announce the 6th Annual World Open Innovation Conference (WOIC 2019).

The 6th Annual World Open Innovation Conference will gather at Luiss University in Rome, Italy on Dec. 12-13, 2019. Our conference theme this year is "Opening Up for Managing Business and Societal Challenges". This theme reflects the growing realization that many key business challenges simply cannot be addressed effectively without open innovation. And societal challenges similarly require broad collaboration. Both business and societal challenges require the engagement of multiple actors from multiple sectors of society, to make real progress against the most important problems of our time. The WOIC brings together leading academic researchers in open innovation from around the world, and pairs them with some of the most advanced practitioners of open innovation in the world. So this is a great place to engage, confront, brainstorm and resolve some truly important business and social concerns.

Our conference will be hosted by one of Italy's leading universities, Luiss University, based in the Eternal City of Rome. Luiss itself was formed out of Confindustria, the Italian industry association, back in 1977. Since then, they have worked to connect academia and business with one another.
