The Pest Management Professional's Guide to Pyrethroid Toxicology & Bioactivity
 
Pesticides are classified from low to high toxicity.  Dr. Allan Felsot, WSU Professor of Entomology, will explain the toxicity of commonly used pesticides including pyrethroids and glyphosate.  Learn how pesticide toxicity and exposure effect pesticide risk.
 
Dr. Allan Felsot is a WSU Entomology professor and Academic Director for math and science at College of Arts and Sciences at WSU Tri-Cities.  Dr. Felsot was recently honored for his excellence in teaching by the Entomological Society of America, Pacific Branch.

Managing Commensal Rodents and Other Wildlife
 
PMP's encounter all sorts of vertebrate pests including rats, house mice, birds and tree squirrels.  Stephen Vantassel will discuss management strategies for vertebrate pests including the use of rodenticides, traps, structural modifications, and other techniques.
 
Stephen M. Vantassel (Certified Wildlife Control Professional, ACE) is the Vertebrate Pest Specialist for the Montana Department of Agriculture.  He owned a wildlife damage control company in Springfield, MA.  He has also published several books including The Wildlife Removal Handbook Rev. edition,  The Wildlife Damage Inspection Handbook, 3rd edition, and The National Wildlife Control Training Program (vols 1-2), along with scores of articles on wildlife damage management related topics.
