January is UConn Alumni career and professional development month! The UConn Chicago Alumni Network invites alumni, friends and family to an exclusive evening with Expedia at their Chicago HQ on January 16th.
Ever wondered what it's like to work for a high powered tech company? What about the world's top earning travel company? With $72.4 billion earned by the company in 2016, learn what it's like to be one of the 20,000 employees who work and travel the globe to ensure consumers get the best deals and best employment experiences.
This panel discussion will feature a discussion on working and breaking into a tech company like Expedia as well as insight into its company culture. We will talk about the incredible opportunities that come from working at Expedia, as well as the stereotypes and misconceptions that come from working with a tech travel giant. Hear from a successful UConn alumnus working in the heart of the Windy City at the world's top grossing travel company and what UConn did to help get this successful alum to where they are today. Who knows, maybe your UConn experience can help you land a job at Expedia or someplace similar? You won't know till you sign up!
