Lessons From Losses in UE’s Student Sexual Assault Claims

Lessons From Losses in UE’s Student Sexual Assault Claims

Thursday, April 27, 1-2:15 p.m. (ET)

Please join us for a review of United Educators' (UE) student sexual assault claims against higher education institutions. Specifically, this webinar will focus on claims from alleged victims and perpetrators from 2011-2015 that resulted in monetary losses to UE and its members.

Joshua Richards, partner and vice-chair of the higher education practice group at Saul Ewing LLP, and Jody Shipper, founding board member of Project IX, will join UE senior risk management counsel Hillary Pettegrew to discuss common findings from these claims and offer recommendations to enhance fairness for all parties and decrease the chances of significant monetary losses for schools.

This program will be of interest to Title IX Coordinators and others—including investigators and adjudicators—who are involved in any aspect of institution’s response to student sexual violence, as well as student affairs and residential life professionals, campus police and security personnel, in-house counsel, and risk managers.
