April Program Title:
Planning For a Safe Meeting Environment
Program Overview:
Security is on everyone's mind when it comes to meetings and events. How much security should your meeting plan for? What are the necessary steps to ensure a safe meeting environment? What is your plan of action should the worst case scenario happen? Marty Luna provides planning, training and consultation in security, safety and critical incident management to event venues and meetings around the United States. He will give us an overview of how we can assess the security needs of our meetings and venues to provide the safest experience for our attendees.

April 6, 2017 is also Global Meetings Industry Day!
On April 6, 2017, leaders from across the meetings and events industry will come together to support the second annual Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID).
Earlier this year, MMB partners hosted over 100 events in more than 30 countries on April 14 in all corners of the globe to showcase the real power of meetings, events, conventions, exhibitions and more. Industry organizations and groups organized advocacy events and rallies, helped elected officials issue proclamations and championed the value of the meetings industry on social media. In fact, the #GMID16 hashtag received almost 30 million impressions and was used in almost 2,000 tweets on April 14th alone.
