In 2011, Inc. Magazine launched the Military
Entrepreneurs Program to educate and mentor service members and their families
about entrepreneurship. The program helps veterans, service members and their
families start, grow and run their own businesses through mentoring, education,
networking, resources and information provided through Inc.’s special
events and business conferences. Please follow #incvets on twitter.
Inc. hosts a Mentor Fair at the annual Inc. 5000
conference that provides mentoring by a wide and diverse group of CEOs on the
Inc. 5000 list. The CEOs offer business insights, answer questions and provide
feedback to active duty, veteran service members, and their spouses. New this
year are two phases to the program: FIRST WAVE: for those participants who are
at the start-up level and new to the world of business ownership and
BREAKTHROUGH: for those participants who have been in business for at least one
year.
The Program also hosts 30 military entrepreneurs as Special Delegates to
the Inc. 500I5000 Conference & GrowCo, with full access to the conferences,
educational sessions, keynote speakers, networking opportunities and special
events. A special feature is paired mentoring with Inc. 5000 CEOS.
Other highlights include a Special Delegation with mentorship at GrowCo
& Inc. 500/5000; VIP attendance at the CNBC & Inc. ICONIC Tours;
webinars; and the hands-on Boots on the Ground Entrepreneur Tour regional event
series. Limited to 25 participants at each regional event, this day-long
program will include both formal and informal sessions with Inc. 500I5000 CEOs.
Please follow us on twitter, @NT_DC and #incvets, for up to date information. The first event is a webinar in March. We will launch the April 5 ICONIC: Seattle event & March 17-19 GrowCo: Las Vegas soon. STAY TUNED.
