Overview
In January 2018 we saw the release of the revised careers strategy alongside the introduction of the Baker Clause instructing every local-authority maintained school in England that they must provide opportunities for training providers to inform all students in years 8 – 13 about apprenticeships and technical education opportunities. This poses a significant opportunity for providers to engage with schools to support students, and the wider school community of teachers, governors and parents, to understand the benefits of apprenticeships. This webinar will explore how providers are maximising this unique opportunity to showcase apprenticeships in the best possible way and build lasting relationships with schools.
Objectives
This webinar will look at:
- the most effective techniques being used currently to engage with schools and their learners to raise awareness of apprenticeships
- how utilising apprentices and their employers to visit their previous school / local school can enhance relationships and increase interest in apprenticeships
- how schools can unlock the opportunity to link with parents as key influencers
- how best to support an apprentice who is using their story to inspire others
Who should attend
This webinar will be of interest to all providers.
