AELP is working in partnership with Creative Education to deliver a Digital Skills Enhancement Programme (DSEP), funded by the Education Training Foundation.
AELP are holding a free training day on 25th
July 2017 in Birmingham for provider staff to be trained to host and
deliver a Digital Skills workshop. We will provide all of the materials you’ll
need to deliver it, and the training, facilitated by Carolyn Lewis of
Vocational Innovation Ltd, will give you the knowledge and resources
required.
This workshop will adopt a ‘train the
trainer’ approach and following the session you will be given the opportunity
to apply to become a Professional Development Lead and host your own workshop,
either in your own provider and/or to other provider staff.
From this workshop we are looking for 8 facilitators to take
the digital skills training into their own providers to train other
practitioners from their and/or other providers’ staff, and provide a case
study on the impact of this. This will be a great opportunity for providers to
showcase their organisation and for a member of their team to champion their
knowledge and skills to develop the digital skills of others. We will pay
the 8 facilitators/host organisations a fee and will also cover the costs of
catering.
Places are limited so please book early to guarantee your place.
Please note: for the workshop
you will be required to bring a laptop with webcam and access to the websites
used during the training (a tablet is not a suitable alternative). You
may also find it beneficial to bring a headset with microphone, but this is not
essential.
*Although this workshop is free, there is a £25 no show fee for any booked delegates that do not attend on the day.
