Ron Sheffield Memorial Student Poster Competition
Waste to Worth International Conference
Livestock and Poultry Environmental Learning Center


Purpose:  

To recognize students who conduct quality Applied Research or Extension Education related to livestock and poultry environmental management and give members the opportunity to participate in an excellent professional improvement event.

Eligibility:

Graduate and undergraduate students who were enrolled in the Spring of 2015 or have graduated within six months of the conference.

Awards:

First Place - $500
Second Place - $250
Third Place - $100

Requirements:

Submit an abstract of original or innovative research, extension/outreach or educational program at cm.wsu.edu\wastetoworth. In the presentation format section, please enter, "student poster competition".

Guidelines:

1.   Complete the Abstract Submission online by February 3, 2015.
2.   Make your abstract clear and concise, as it will be used in meeting publication materials. All abstracts will be published. Text should not exceed 250 words. Posters should be presented in English Units and follow the format given in the judging sheet.  Please keep the presentation of material to "lay language".
3.   Poster may reflect the work of one or more students working together.
4.   Posters will be on continuous display during the meeting and will be peer-reviewed and judged by a Committee of LPELC members.
5.   You should bring all exhibit material with you to the meeting. Maximum size of the display will be 44" X 44".
6.   Recipient must attend LPE Learning Center Waste to Worth conference to receive award.
