WAM 2016 Final Program

We are happy to announce that our 2016 Program is released. Please download your copy HERE.

The Structures of The Sessions Are:

Traditional Paper Sessions: 15-minute presentations followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. 15 minutes at end for additional discussions.

Developmental Paper Sessions: Each author presents their ideas for 5 minutes, the group discusses for 10 minutes while the author sits and listens, and the author then has 5 minutes at the end to rejoin the conversation.

Description of Chair/Discussant Roles:

The main responsibility of the Chair/Discussant is to keep things on time in Traditional Paper and Developmental Paper sessions.

The secondary responsibility is to facilitate discussion of the papers. This is more essential for Chair/Discussants in the Developmental Paper sessions, where they must have read the papers in advance. For Traditional Sessions, it is up to the discretion of the Chair/Discussant whether to read the papers in advance.

Coordinate Presentation Supplies:

Computers will not be provided for presentations. Please contact the other presenters in your session to coordinate accordingly.

WAM 2016 Friday Night "Last Session": Micro-Brew Event at University of Portland

We have a special event planned for the "Last Session" on Friday night from 6:30-9:00 p.m. In keeping with the conference's theme of Alternative Mainstreams, we will travel by bus to the University of Portland for a session on the unique industry of craft brewing. The event will feature local brewmasters pouring beer and pairing each flight with heavy appetizers, having a town hall discussion with the brewmasters, and a chance to mingle. To defray the costs for those wishing to attend, we are charging $10. Wine and non-alcoholic drinks will also be provided.

You will be able to sign up for this session at the time of registering for the conference. If you would like to bring additional guests that are not registered for WAM 2016, please contact Paul Olk at pmolk@du.edu.
