The Program
For the first time, This is Long Term Care delegates will have the option of registering for an exclusive offering of the IDEAS Foundations of Quality Improvement Workshop. With a focus on applied learning, registrants will gain access to a four-part eLearning module to complement the 1-day workshop. Participants in the program can expect to gain fundamental knowledge in quality improvement concepts, and a hands-on experience applying new tools and skills to a LTC-specific quality improvement case study. Registration is open to the first 60 clinical and administrative staff that have a role in quality improvement in their homes.

Learning Objectives
After successful completion of the e-learning module and in-person workshop, learners will be able to:
• Apply the principles of quality improvement for healthcare
• Explain a quality improvement aim in accordance with the Model for Improvement
• Explain the application of measurement in accordance with the Model for Improvement
• Collaborate with interprofessional team members to contribute effectively on a quality improvement team

Who Should Register?
Individuals who are currently, or interested in, participating in a QI project as a team member including:
• Clinical (physicians, nurses, other healthcare disciplines)
• Administrative health professionals (managers, directors and senior leaders) who hold a variety of roles and disciplines across the continuum of care

Using an evidence based curriculum and instructional design, the IDEAS Foundations of Quality Improvement Program is comprised of a mandatory eLearning component completed prior to a one-day in-person workshop. Depending on your QI knowledge modules can take between 3-6 hours to complete.
