Three opportunities to make a world of difference

The worldwide multiple sclerosis community have shared their challenges, and we’ve listened. Our Judging Panel and Steering Committee of leading experts from within the MS and innovation communities have used their knowledge and experience to shortlist the 103 challenges submitted down to three. Challenges which they feel, if solved, would have the most benefit to the MS community. For each, we have created a brief.

And now we need you to help solve them.

Fernando’s challenge

Diagnosed with MS 12 years ago, Fernando was forced to take early retirement due the daily struggles he faces with bladder control. The misunderstanding from society and the constant stress his challenge causes impacts on his self-esteem, and sometimes he feels he’s not socially accepted.

Giacomo’s challenge

Giacomo and his wife Silien love to travel, but her MS has a direct impact on her ability to get around, imposing limits on the life they live together. Whilst Silien needs help in steadying herself, she doesn’t want her MS to define her, or for other people to see her as an ‘MS sufferer’.

Our challenge to you
We need an idea for a device that could make walking a little easier for Silien. A device that would not only be discreet and stylish, but one that can be easily put away, with some support on how to use it, as a big part of this challenge is psychological acceptance.
