  1. If we are registering as a group, are we eligible for a group discount?

    1. The following discounts are available for groups:  50 or more FTEs - 20%; 20 to 49 FTEs - 15%; 10-19 FTEs - 10%, and 5 to 9 FTEs - 5%.  An FTE is a full-time equivalent consisting of three full days of training.  For example, one FTE can be broken down into one person attending for three days, three people attending one day each, or any other combination.  If you require a group discount, please contact Mary Peck at mepeck@usa.net.

  4. What is the cancellation policy?

    1. Cancellations received prior to March 14, 2018 will be fully refundable.  Substitutions can be requested at any time up until the time of the conference.  Substitutions of a non-member for a member will result in the additional non-member fees being charged.  Individuals who do not cancel before March 14, 2018 are not eligible for a refund.

       

  5. Where can I find a copy of the program grid and session descriptions?

    1. The program grid and session descriptions are located in the event BROCHURE, as well as, on the Event Agenda tab.

       

  6. What are the lunch choices?

    1. Meal options are located on the Lunch Options tab.

       

  7. How do I make my hotel reservations at The Radisson, Albany?

    1. Hotel reservations can be made by calling the Radisson Hotel Albany at 1 (800) 333-3333 or (518) 458-7250 (24 hours a day) or going to their website at (www.radisson.com).  Please mention that you are with the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) block to take advantage of the conference group rates: Single or Double occupancy - $115 per room/day or the prevailing government rate.

  8. How do I get my CPE Certificate?

    1. CPE certificates will be emailed to the address provided during registration.  Please allow 2 – 3 weeks for CPE certificate processing.  Please note that only those attendees with no balance due will receive their CPE Certificates.

       

  9. I am a New York State Employee; will GOER reimburse me for this event?

    1. Eligible PEF represented employees are eligible for reimbursement up to $1,600 per year under the Workshop and Seminar Reimbursement (WSR) Program.  For additional information, please see https://www.goer.ny.gov/Training_Development/PEF/index.cfm#WSR.

       

  10. What is the dress code?

    1. The dress is business casual and since the air temperature can fluctuate between warm and cold so we recommend wearing layers.

       

  11. What is the designated charity for this year’s event?

    1. The 2018 TCTC will be sponsoring the Capital City Mission, “the homeless and poor of the Capital Region are served.  Since the Mission does not require individuals to be registered with the city, state or county, as “payables”, like so many other agencies; many who come to the Mission are the poorest of the poor.”  During the three day conference donations will be collected.  The charity has requested the following items:

      •  Shampoo/conditioner

      • Deodorant

      • Soap/body wash

      • Shaving cream/razors

      • Lotion

      • Toothbrush/toothpaste

      • Socks/underwear (new, especially the larger size)

      •   Hats/gloves (men’s especially)
