The New Urbanism: Optimizing Imagination, Creativity, Innovation, and Human Flourishing

Complexity sciences, idea and crowd sourcing, start-up weekends, mash-ups, creative place making, innovation hubs, big data, and environmental sustainability are just a few of the many concepts influencing ideas about both new and revitalizing cities as more and more of the human population gravitates towards them. How can we optimize life and living for those in cities in North America and minimize the many problems that have been identified with urban life in the 20th and 21st centuries?
