SPARK 2013 : Putting Creativity to Work

ABOUT COCAbiz

COCAbiz is the business training division of COCA, a national leader in arts-based education. Offering programs for both individuals and corporate teams, COCAbiz helps people build their confidence, shift their professional outlook, and create corporate cultures that embrace creative problem solving, innovative thinking, and more dynamic leadership.

COCAbiz programs take different formats – custom training, workshops, talks, conferences, special events – but they all bring thoughtful, social and curious individuals together in an intelligent and engaging atmosphere. Some present big picture insights to expand thinking while others enhance specific professional and technical skills.

Public Programs
Public programs consist of regularly scheduled classes, talks, and networking events, as well as SPARK, our annual Business Creativity Conference. These programs are open to enrollment from individuals across industries. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, business executive, or emerging leader, all programs encourage exploration and offer new ways of thinking that are applicable to individuals in any profession.

We can provide content and programs for any size or type of audience.

ABOUT COCA

Founded in 1986, COCA (Center of Creative Arts) is a non-profit community arts center with a mission to enrich lives and build community through the arts.

As the fifth largest multidisciplinary arts organization in the country, COCA is a national leader in innovative community arts education and serves more than 50,000 area residents of all ages annually through its arts programs that emphasize social and artistic diversity, economic and cultural accessibility, hands-on experience of the artistic process and the highest quality faculty.

On-site at its University City location, COCA offers educational classes, arts camps and workshops serving individuals aged 6 months through adult; artists’ residencies; and exhibits of contemporary art in the Millstone Gallery at COCA. COCA’s 400-seat Founders’ Theatre is the venue for the popular COCA Family Theatre Series as well as performances featuring COCA’s prestigious student dance and theatre companies.

Off-site, in St. Louis schools and other community venues, COCA’s award-winning Urban Arts and Interchange outreach programs and its School & Community Programs serve area students through authentic arts training and arts-based education. Through Urban Arts, Interchange and other accessibility initiatives, COCA provides more than $700,000 in scholarships and free arts education to approximately 3,000 students from low-income school districts or otherwise in need.

With the knowledge that CEOs in virtually every field continue to rank creative thinking as a coveted and hard-to-find skill – and knowing the arts are an effective way to unlock creativity – COCA launched COCAbiz in 2010.
