ABOUT REMLING VALPURI

b. 1980 Rovaniemi

2007, MFA, Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki, Finland

2009, TMP (Tamarind Master Printer), ABQ, NM

After graduating from Tamarind, Valpuri Remling went back to Helsinki, Finland and started working at the Academy as a technician for the printmaking department and as a collaborative printer at Helsinki Litho, a traditional stone lithography workshop started by two other Tamarind-trained printers. She quickly took over teaching lithography and other planographic mediums at the Academy and simultaneously helped develop Helsinki Litho towards the active professional shop it remains to the date. In 2015 she started as the new Master Printer at Tamarind Institute.
