School of Art and Fashion Event to Undergo Redesign and Relaunch in 2015

March 20, 2014 – F+W Media, Inc. parent Company of the Martha Pullen Company, announced today it will postpone its “School of Art Fashion” Atlanta event, previously scheduled for July 2014, in order to begin planning the broader mission of the Martha Pullen Company events, including the breadth of their programs and locations for 2015 and future years.

“To create the most personally satisfying and enriching events possible, we are taking time to explore exciting class options, secure the finest faculty and select a series of locations for our future events,” said David Blansfield, President, F+W. In addition to the Martha Pullen Company, F+W offers industry-leading events under the Interweave and New Track Media brands. Since the acquisition of New Track Media in January 2014 by F+W, the company has been focused on learning New Track’s businesses and planning how to integrate those businesses in the best interests of the Company’s customers, partners, and staff.

“Original Sewing & Quilt Expo is thrilled to partner with the Martha Pullen brand,” said Marlene Ingraham, Senior Director of Marketing and Education for the event. “We all share and strive toward the same mission: to bring the highest quality sewing education to thousands of enthusiasts each year, and enhance the joy of a rich, rewarding sewing life.”

“Improving the event for our attendees, sponsors, exhibitors and instructors is our Number One priority,” Blansfield added. “Postponing the July calendar date gives us the time necessary to step back, reassess, and work closely with the School of Art and Fashion community to create the best possible event.” Event participants will receive a short survey via email in early May for input on classes, entertainment, dates, locations, and more.
