Decarbonising Portfolios: Copenhagen - 5th November 2019
Assisting Denmark's Green Transition
Danish investors are likely to experience pressure to decarbonise their portfolios given the Danish government’s pledge to introduce binding decarbonisation goals and strengthen its 2030 target to reduce emissions by 70% below the 1990 level. The European Commission has called on Member States to establish clear short- and long-term targets consistent with the goals of the Paris Agreement and to provide investment support for net-zero pathways. The new EC commissioner, Ursula von der Leyen, has promised to reduce EU wide CO2 emissions by 2030 by up to 55% and to enshrine in law a European Union-wide 2050 net-zero emissions target.
This workshop will help investors navigate the options and approaches available to taking active approaches to managing carbon and climate risks, promote best practice and source responsible investment options across markets.
