RI London 2020

RI London 2020

9th-10th June

2020 will be a milestone year for sustainable finance in Europe.

The EU’s Action Plan on Sustainable Finance becomes a reality for companies and investors that have to think about its implications and implementation.

Most investors, corporates and governments have also now set climate and/or sustainability-related targets and 2020 will be a crucial time for reflection on how to meet them and action towards doing so.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) reach the 5 year mark, prompting more investors and corporates to disclose their actions towards meeting those goals.

RI London provides delegates with insights into what it means to be a responsible investor and how to ‘do’ ESG in 2020 and beyond. The event will build on the urgency to accelerate the shift of capital towards sustainable solutions across all sectors and asset classes, and explore the drivers and strategies of sustainable, thematic and impact investing.

The RI London 2020 agenda provides space for more interactive discussions and learning on critical and topical market themes and includes:

  • More sessions lending themselves to speakers presenting practical examples of ESG management and integration.
  • Fewer traditional panels, more case studies, Q&A and quick-fire presentations.
  • Topics relevant to investors and other market participants new or relatively new to ESG.
  • Topics relevant to seasoned responsible investors - for example innovation, next-generation ESG and sustainable finance strategies, ESG integration in asset classes beyond listed equities.
  • The incorporation of more corporates, banks, insurance groups and lawyers into the agenda.
  • Sector and asset class deep-dives.
  • A break-out stream dedicated to ‘Levelling up in ESG’ to accommodate investors at varying stages of ESG management.
  • Speakers’ corner: short presentations on innovative and new ideas. The purpose of these short presentations is to break up the panel/keynote format and highlight that our events are the place to exchange new ideas and plant the seed for future innovations in the sector. These short presentation sessions should challenge conventional ideas on ESG and sustainability.
  • Live polling incorporated in plenaries: to increase audience engagement.
