LOUIS ARMSTRONG NEW ORLEANS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Located approximately 11 miles west of Downtown New Orleans, the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is the largest airport in the state of Louisiana.

Ground Transportation

Please arrange your own transportation to and from the airport. We suggest allowing 30-40 minutes from your hotel to the airport. Please see below for recommended transportation options and approximate costs.

  • Super Shuttle: Super Shuttle: Super Shuttle is an economical way to get from the airport to New Orleans. While en route, your shuttle will make multiple stops at locations along the way. Advanced reservations and pre-payment for your ride take the time and hassle out of getting to and from the airport. Click here to make a reservation.

  • Taxi: Fares to and from the airport range from approximately $35 to $40 depending on traffic. As some taxis do not accept credit card payments, all passengers should notify the driver if they plan on using a credit card.

  • Uber: Request, ride and pay via your mobile phone - all you need to do is download the app to your smartphone. When you request a ride, Uber will find a driver, let you track their location on the map, and will text you when your ride arrives. Your driver’s name and car details appear in the app, and you can message or call if needed. Once you arrive at your destination, the fare is automatically charged to your credit card on file – no need to tip. Uber will also email you a receipt. Estimated fares to and from the airport vary depending on the Uber vehicle type you select:

    • UberX (compact, cost-effective): $30 - $45
    • UberXL (SUV/Van, larger groups): $50 - $60
    • UberPREMIUM (town car/premium vehicle): $75 - $80

Click here to visit the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport website for a complete list of local transportation options.
