How do I dress?
Be comfortable, be yourself! Most attendees will be in business casual attire. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended as is dressing in layers.

What are the rates for the hotels?
Rates range from $95/night on up. Refer to the back of the hotel/shuttle bus map on this website and also in the conference materials that are sent to each township secretary.

My preferred hotel is full, what can I do?
Some of the hotels fill up quickly so we recommend registering as soon as possible after registration opens so you can book your room. If your preferred hotel is full, call PSATS and we will be happy to put you on a waiting list and notify you if, and when, a room becomes available.

Can I contact the hotel directly for a reservation?
PSATS has many of the hotels in Hershey contracted to assure the lowest possible rates. All hotel reservations must be made through the hotel reservation link that will appear after you complete your conference registration.

Are Townships required to pay tax at hotels?
Yes. Hershey has a 6% PA State Occupancy Tax and a 5% Local (Dauphin County) Tax. There will be 11% total tax charged to your reservation.

What methods of payment are acceptable for Conference registration?
Conference registration must be paid for when you register. PSATS accepts Master Card, Visa and Discover. You may also pay by echeck in which case you will need the routing number and checking account number.

What methods of payment are acceptable for hotel reservations?
MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express. The hotels accept all major credit cards.

Can I register on-site?
You may register on-site, however you will pay a higher registration fee and there may be considerable wait time involved. Pre-registration is highly recommended.

What is included in the registration fee?
With your paid registration you have access to the entire conference!
Over 100 workshops on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, full exhibit show with over 200 exhibits indoors in addition to outdoor exhibits, general sessions, speakers, key note speaker, “Doughnuts with Dave,” Legislative Reception at the Capitol complex, free shuttle bus service, Delegate/Exhibitor Breakfast Mixer, and a lot of fun surprises….

What incidental costs will I need to plan for?
Meals are not included in your registration fee, transportation/gas to the conference, and of course, a visit to the Conference store!

Will parking be a problem?
Parking at the Hershey Lodge is limited. We recommend using the free shuttle service from all of the contracted hotels to the Lodge Sunday – Tuesday. If you live locally, the shuttle operates on Monday and Tuesday from the Giant Center parking lot to the Lodge.

How do I get an attendance certificate?
When the conference concludes on Wednesday the attendance certificates will be handed out as you leave the General Session.
