Question 1. The PICARD2011 program seems most interesting. Taking a ”risk-based view” regarding my participation, what do you see as the main bottlenecks / risks that something would go wrong with my intended participation?
Answer1: Thanks for the question – you are warmly welcome to PICARD2011 Conference. There are four key items to take into consideration:
1) If your nationality requires a visa, you will not have entry to Switzerland without it. Please note that the application process can take a long time. And please note that CBRA can only provide you with invitation letter, we cant do anything else.
2) If you havent filled and returned the United Nations entry form, you will have no access to the UN premises. This must be done at the latest on September 7, 2011.
3) If you havent paid your conference participation fee, you will not have access to the conference room or the social events. So, please pay, benfit from the discounted fee, by July 15, 2011.
4) If you dont book a hotel room early on, you might end up having to take any room, even 1 hour away from Geneva ( e.g. in France). The block reservations (160 rooms) with the Geneva Tourist Office expire by August 1, 2011, so please book your room before that.
