Accommodation

Special accommodation rates are available for conference participants at the hotels listed below.

The special rates are only available through the online registration system and cannot be guaranteed after 2 August 2012. You can book accommodation when registering for the conference.

Room rates include GST of 15%. Please note, your credit card details are required to secure your reservation. You are not required to pay a deposit, but are required to pay the full amount of your stay upon check out.

Accommodation cancellation policy

All cancellations must be notified in writing, by fax or email to your hotel. Please contact your hotel directly regarding their cancellation policy.

Standard double - $77 per night

Downtown Backpackers has a different feel to that of other budget accommodation in Wellington and New Zealand: facilities such as private tiled bathrooms are provided in most of the double, twin and single rooms. There are elegant staircases, and high ceilings from its former days as a hotel, and the on-site café was once the old hotel's ballroom. 5 minutes walk to the conference venue, and across the road from Wellington’s train station which includes a Supermarket for your convenience.
