Dr. Hossam Al Tatari
Conference Chairman / Division Chief for Infectious Diseases
Dr. Hossam Al Tatari graduated with an MD from University Medical School of Debrecen, Hungary in 1994. After completing his Arab Board training in United Arab Emirates, he moved to USA where he became board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 2003, and later became board certified in Pediatric Infectious Diseases in 2006. Dr. Al Tatari joined the University of Western Ontario, Canada until summer of 2009 when be moved to Tawam Hospital in UAE as the chief of pediatric infectious diseases and later became the chief of general pediatrics division and the director of the pediatric residency program. He continues to work for University of Western Ontario as a part time faculty member and was promoted to an Adjunct Professor in 2012. Dr. Al Tatari has repeatedly received awards as the pediatrician and the teacher of the year in USA, Canada and UAE. Dr. Al Tatari has more than 60 abstracts and articles in addition to contributing in several books in the field of pediatric infectious diseases. He is also an invited keynote speaker in numerous national and international conferences. His main areas of interest are vaccines, antibiotics utilization and resistance, clinical microbiology in addition to postgraduate medical education.
 
Dr. Stefan Weber
Consultant
Stefan Weber is a consultant pathologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, and focuses on subjects such as clinical microbiology, antibiotic stewardship and infection control. He received his medical degree from the University of Cologne, Germany. His experience includes medical director of Bioscientia, a medical laboratory in Germany, and the medical Director if the Institute for Microbiology and Hospitaal Hygenie in Hoyerswerda Hospital, Germany.
