Oklahoma Brownfields Conference 2012
 
2012 Scholarship Program
 
In an effort to promote innovative thinking in brownfields remediation and redevelopment among students in Oklahoma, up to five scholarships will be awarded to interested graduate or undergraduate students.  This scholarship consists of registration fees paid to the 2012 Oklahoma Brownfields Conference which includes meals and all activities taking place at the Skirvin Hotel.
 
EligibilityStudent must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university in the state of Oklahoma.
 
Essay:   The essay cannot exceed two single-spaced pages, must be typed in Times New Roman 12 point font and have one inch margins. Topics should relate to innovative brownfields remediation, redevelopment practices or brownfields law and policy.  Appropriate citations should be included as a works cited page, which will not be counted as part of the two page total.  Essays will be judged on content, contribution to the body of brownfields knowledge, quality of work and professionalism.  The essays will be reviewed by various professionals with experience working on brownfields projects.

  • Brownfields as a tool for economic development
  • Law and policy of brownfields
  • Case studies related to brownfields

Notification:  Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than Monday, April 30th.
