Overview 

Home & Community Support – United in Our Commitment to Care

OCSA Members are united in their commitment to care – but that commitment isn’t always widely recognized. That’s why we’re excited to announce that the 2015 OCSA Conference will include a new opportunity to showcase and celebrate their accomplishments. The OCSA Commitment to Care Awards, sponsored by Lough Barnes Consulting Group, will give OCSA Members the chance to share their stories in four categories. Winners will be chosen by an impressive committee of judges, and recognized during the banquet at our 2015 conference. Nomination submissions must be received by August 30, 2015 – learn all about it below. We’re looking forward to hearing and sharing your stories!


1. OCSA Award for Commitment to Leadership

Awarded to an individual or small team who have demonstrated exceptional leadership within their community and the home care and community support sector.

 

2. OCSA Award for Commitment to Volunteer Administration

Awarded to an organization within the home care and community support sector in recognition of its outstanding volunteer administration program.

3. OCSA Award for Commitment to Quality Improvement

Awarded to an organization that demonstrates excellence and innovation in service delivery and performance measurement

4. OCSA Award for Commitment to Exceptional Client and Family Care

Awarded to an inspiring individual or team with a powerful story about going above and beyond to make a meaningful impact in the lives of clients and their families.

Eligibility

  • Nominee must be an OCSA Member in good standing.
  • Award winners must be able to attend the awards ceremony during the OCSA Conference banquet on October 21st.
  • Nominee must be willing to provide short bio and photographs for use in OCSA and award sponsor communications, and participate in a potential video project produced by sponsor Lough Barnes Consulting Group.
  • Self-nominations are permitted. Only one nomination form per organization, please.

Considerations

  • Submission must not contain confidential client information or restricted intellectual property (IP) that should not be circulated in the public domain.
  • The information contained in the submission may be used by OCSA for promotional purposes. This may include imagery contained within the application. 
  • Applicants are expected to grant OCSA consent to publish any material contained in the application.

Award Winners’ Recognition

  • Award winners will be announced during the OCSA Conference banquet.
  • Winners will be profiled on OCSA’s website and social media accounts, and in a media release.
  • Award winners will receive up to two complimentary registrations for next year’s OCSA conference.

Media Outreach

  • Award nominees will be profiled on OCSA/conference website in advance of the conference.
  • Media release profiling award winners will be produced by OCSA and sent to key media contacts.
  • A copy of the media release will be provided to winners so that they can provide it to their local media.
