In 2014 IFMA, The Partnering Group, and a committee of 30 chain
operators and manufacturers championed the development of a new best-practice
model for collaboration in foodservice called OCM – TheOperator/Manufacturer Collaboration
Model. This process provides a framework for industry practitioners to
classify, understand and communicate value of operator-supplier relationships.
Additionally, it has created a common language to drive efficiency and
effectiveness between channel partners.
IFMA is now offering one-day group training sessions on how
manufacturers and national account operators can incorporate the OCM within
their organizations. Participants sign up for training through IFMA and will
join with like-minded Operator and Manufacturer individuals to learn the
process, using group interaction and case studies to illustrate key concepts.
Learn how this new thinking and new set of tools can change how to approach and manage key account business, and for operators, how to manage supplier partners.
