Jonathan Saltzman is a member of the Boston Globe’s Spotlight Team, which won a George Polk Award and a first place National Headliner Award in 2012 for a series of stories on the startlingly high percentage of motorists acquitted of drunk driving in bench trials. He has also worked on Spotlight Team investigations of corruption in Boston's taxi industry and of dangerous off-campus housing in the city's college neighborhoods, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in investigative reporting in 2015. He also co-wrote a series of stories in 2015 about surgeons who operate on more than one patient at a time, a project that was a finalist for several journalism awards.

Saltzman, a graduate of Brooklyn College, has worked at the Globe since 2002 and covered federal and state courts for the newspaper before joining the investigative unit in 2011. He previously worked as a reporter at several newspapers, including the Providence Journal-Bulletin, the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, and the Poughkeepsie Journal. He also worked at the National Public Radio stations in Boston and Providence.

NSAC 2016: Reduce, Recycle, & Reuse!

If you’re like us, you probably have stacks of bags that you’ve collected over the years from various conferences. Acknowledging this trend, we’ve invited NSAC attendees to BYOB: Bring Your Own Bag!

Here’s how it works:

We invite you to bring bags from previous conferences. You can deposit them into the collection barrels you’ll see near registration. You can either use the bags you bring or switch it out for another bag from the collection barrels.

This is a great way to “recycle” bags from previous conferences and also is a great conversation starter! Please look for the collection barrels near registration, and if you need a bag, we encourage you to take one! Help us to Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse in DC!

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation of your conference registration must be made in writing.  All refunds will be made after the conference.  Cancellations postmarked on or before the date of July 31, 2016 are subject to a $125.00 administrative service charge.  There will be no refunds made for cancellations after the date of July 31, 2016.  Registrations with the same session choices may be transferred to another participant without penalty.
